The Tended Root is an acupuncture & allergy clinic operated by Heather Titus BScKin, R.Ac, ECM Practitioner. ECM aims to help individuals suffering from a large variety of allergies, food sensitivities and chronic infections. ECM gets to the root of the issue through a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Acupressure and Applied Kinesiology which will reduce if not eliminate symptoms all together.
About Heather
Heather graduated from the University of New Brunswick Fredericton Campus with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2012. In 2015, she graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture and became a certified acupuncturist. She then completed training as an ECM Practitioner in 2015 and since then has opened up her own business which started in January, 2017. Heather focuses her business on helping people struggling with food sensitivities and autoimmune conditions.
Heather has a special connection with Allergy Elimination as at 14 years of age she developed numerous amounts of food sensitivities over night after a traumatic and stressful experience in her family. These foods sensitivities became so severe she was only able to eat three foods and caused her weight to drop 35 pounds in only three months. Getting to this point also triggered the onset of IBS, thyroid deficiencies and chronic fatigue. After finding a clinic in her hometown that did allergy elimination she was cleared for all her foods, within two months she was eating again and within 8 months she had her weight back. Now she has no chronic fatigue, food sensitives or thyroid deficiencies. Heather understands that most issues begin in the gut and are correlated to the stress we experience in life.
Being on the other end gave Heather an understanding for how clients feel and the passion to help others like how she was helped herself.
